ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) – Tough, Low-Cost Thermoplastic for Enclosures and Prototypes
ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is one of the most widely used commodity engineering thermoplastics, offering an excellent combination of impact resistance, rigidity, and surface quality at very low cost. It is the dominant material for injection-molded enclosures, consumer products, and FDM 3D printing where a practical balance of toughness and processability is required at minimum cost.
